Sudak. Genova's fortress, 13th century
Karadag. Golden Gate rock.
Massif Karadag.
Novy Svet.
Sudak is one of the most popular Crimean resorts located on the southeast part of the Crimean Peninsula. To compare to Yalta or Alushta Sudak is not that pricey that's why my friends and I love to go there for our summer break. There are a lot of things to do there to keep you busy .
My parents being the students went there every year. They told me that during the last 10-15 years a long waterfront boardwalk in Sudak has been changed significantly. It looks like today Sudak can offer you even many more different kinds of entertainment than Yalta.
Not only the city offers a lot of entertainments, but there are number of beaches with clean sea water, and many possible tour routes in the Sudak area.
Its principal attraction is Genova's fortress built in the 13th century. The completely restored fortress is something you must see.
It is convenient to live in Sudak and have a daily short trips to Novy Svet, which offers fantastic landscapes and crystal clear sea with a number of historical places worth a visit (including the famous Golitsyn path, the Feodor Shaliapin grotto, Champagne Factory, and wine tasting tours).
Koktebel is another nearby town to see. Less than an hour from Sudak by bus and you are there.
It took nature a million years to create the majestic look of massif Karadag. Its volcanic forms rising above the sea surround Koktebel from all sides.
Karadag Dolphinarium, Marine Aquarium, the Museum of Nature and History, Museum of poet, artist, and philosopher Maximilian Voloshin, the Gliding Museum are waiting for you to familiarize with their inhabitants and treasures.
I'll certainly go to Sudak next summer!
