What Is Social Bookmarking - and how
can it benefit you?

"Add To Bookmarks" usually refers to adding a link to your web browser's bookmarks folder. This is the "old" way of managing your bookmarks.

Currently, when you see "Add To Bookmarks" it often refers to one of the many "social bookmarking" sites. Social bookmaring is a system that allows you to bookmark a site without storing it on your computer so you can access them from anywhere.

You can easily find your bookmark at a later date without having to remember where you put it. For example: Lets say you find a site that you really like about Ukrainian folk music. You want to bookmark it but not in the old way. You want to be able to find your bookmark later but you may not remember where you put it or what you called it. ( Does it sound familiar to you?)

Here is the way. You can "tag" your bookmark with keywords that you decide are relevant to the content of the bookmark. You can assign one bookmark to multiple "tags" so you don't need to remember that "tag" and can easily find that bookmark later. "Ukrainian folk music" link you might tag as: folk music, Ukraine, ukraine culture, music, ukrainian song , and etc. Not only you can find bookmarks that you "tagged" with certain keywords but so can anyone else.

There is even better thing about social bookmarking. You don't have to waste your time looking for relevant and on topic information. Instead you can go to any social bookmarking site and do a search using tags (keywords) and find relevant, human reviewed, content . Another users already found important and relevant sites for you, bookmarked and tagged them under your category of interest.

How do you get started? Easy!

1. Pick one or two of the sites in the list after reading their descriptions and possibly trying out Social Bookmarking on their site - and then sign up for a couple for free! 2. Once you pick the favorite one or two Sites you would like to try, it's simple and fast!
   

   When you're set up, here's all you have to do:
   

   Visit the page on "Ukraine-Travel-Advisor.com" or any other site that you want to "Social" bookmark. For starters you can bookmark the Ukraine Customs page

3. Use one of the many "Quickly add this page to your Social Bookmarks:" small "Link Boxes" with pre-set-up links you can simply click to add that page to your new Social Bookmarks Site list.
