What are hostels?

Ukraine hostels are an excellent opportunity to see one of the Europe oldest countries whose history started more than 20 centuries ago without spending big money for accommodation. The hostels offer discount accommodation, usually in dormitory stile with separate quarters for men and women. Many hostels have low price meals available or kitchen where their guests can cook something.

Adult prices range from $6.00 to $35.00 per night and determined by how many beds are in a room. Dormitories are the cheapest with anywhere from 10 - 20 people in a room. Some hostels also have 6, 4, 2, and private family and couples rooms. In the large cities like Kiev prices tend to be more expensive than smaller towns. Ukraine hostels in most cases are not exactly like typical European hostels, but something in between a regular hotel and a hostel.

Who can stay in hostels?

Usually there are no age restrictions to stay in a hostel. Student groups, families, couples, independent travelers, college students, seniors citizens, etc. may stay in hostels. Highly recommended for the adventurous backpacker!

Discounts available in youth hostels.

If you are a full-time student or teacher, or if you are under 26, many hostels offer discounts to the holders of ISIC, ITIC , IYTC cards. There are some other possible discounts which are necessary to research. For example, VIP Backpackers Cards.
